This past weekend was General Conference for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is held twice a year in April and in October and is what I consider to be a spiritual feast. During General Conference for our church we have the privilege and opportunity to be taught and encouraged by a living prophet, President Thomas S. Monson and other leaders of the church. It is broadcasted via satelite and internet etc from Salt Lake City, Utah ( Where our Church Headquarters are located). It is a total of 5 sessions in one weekend ( Saturday and Sunday) and each session is 2 hours in length. So for us it is at noon and then 4pm. This is a conference that anyone can watch or participate in, whether Mormon or not:)
There were some amazing speeches given that really made me look inward and helped me know where improvement was needed. Because of a busy toddler:) I wasn't able to focus as much on all the sessions as I have been able to in the past, but thankfully they have them all online to view! I have been trying to watch one or two while I eat lunch and our little guy is down for his afternoon nap and I learn so much each time. I am so grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who continues to speak to prophets in our day.
